PROF. E.B SONAIYA

Prof .Emmanuel Babafunso Sonaiya, Ph.D (Cornell)  is the Chairman, Board of advisers at SYL.  He has long career at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria where he has served as Head of Department of Animal Sciences, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, and Director, Centre for Distance Learning. He has been a visiting lecturer at several Nigerian universities, research associate at Cornell University, visiting scientist at the Federal Meat Research Centre, Kulmbach, and the Technical University Berlin, Germany and at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).

Professor Sonaiya has been a consultant to banks, oil companies and private farms; to the FAO the World Bank, the German, Netherlands, Danish, Tanzania, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Kenyan and Sudan governments, and scientific adviser to the International Foundation for Science.

His interests in eLearning as a tool for National development distinguishes him as one of the very few accomplished Dons in Nigeria who would still lean with the younger generation to to steer the much needed change in the educational system, with the adoption of cutting edge technologies.

OLUWATOSIN ODUBELA

Tosin Odubela is the Founder and CEO/Creative Director at SYL. A lover of cutting edge technologies, futurist and a revolutionary thinker and researcher, Tosin is an adept in Interactive Multimedia with special interests in eLearning. Having encircled the entire Interactive Multimedia spectrum from 2D/3D graphics/animations to Audio/Visual production, Interactive Application Design and then to Web/Mobile application Development, Tosin’s over 15 years experience into eContent manipulation has strengthened the technical core of several National and International projects especially in the fields of eLearning Technologies and Instructional Design.

Tosin attended the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University where he headed the ICT/Multimedia Unit of the University’s Distance Learning Centre, for over 8 years. Along with capacities acquired from further education at Meritus university (Canada) and University of Phoenix (USA) in the pursuit of advanced information technology business and management skills, Tosin provides the creative and technical leadership for SYL.

OLAYINKA ODUBELA (Non-Executive Director)

Olayinka is a Graduate of English Language with a post-graduate Diploma in Education. She is passionate about public speaking and corporate communication. She also is versatile in French, having bagged the DELF A2,B1 and B2 certificates. Olayinka loves social work especially in the aspects of mentoring young girls and providing free technology related services for nursery and primary schools.
